No doubt, people will always remember Elijah Wood as the guy from ‘Lord of the Rings’. We can’t disagree with them, because his ‘Lord of the Rings’ performance as Frodo Baggins was quite remarkable. But if you thought that 'Lord of the RIngs' was Elijah’s only famous work, we assure you, you were wrong. Just fyi, he’s been in a lot of great films: ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ (2004), ‘Sin City’ and ‘Everything Is Illuminated’ (2005), ‘Paris, je  t'aime’ (2006) and others. 2. Viggo Mortensen
Viggo Mortensen who played Aragorn in ‘Lord of the Rings’ (you know that, of course), is known for his roles in such movies as ‘A Walk on the Moon’ (1999), ‘A History of Violence’ (2005), ‘Alatriste’ (2006), ‘The Road’ (2009) and ‘A Dangerous Method’ (2011).
For the film ‘Eastern Promises’ (2007) Mortensen received his first Academy Award nomination.
And by the way Viggo Mortensen received his second Oscar nomination this year for ‘Captain Fantastic’ in the Best Actor nomination. Good luck!

3. Orlando Bloom
Besides playing Legolas, Orlando Bloom has also played in Ridley Scott’s ‘Black Hawk Down’ (2001) and ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ (2005), ‘New York I Love You’ (2008). But his most notable work after 'Lord of the Rings' is ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ trilogy (that will son become a pentalogy), opposite to Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp. Besides, Bloom also returned to Middle Earth as Legolas in the latest ‘The Hobbit’ installment. Bloom will also appear in the upcoming ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’.
Besides the amazing acting career, Orlando Bloom also did us all a favor and punched Justin Bieber in the face not so long ago. What can we say? Legend!

4. Sir Ian Mckellen
Ian McKellen started his career in 1961 in theatre. He’s been a famous theatre actor for decades and played in plays like ‘Macbeth’ and ‘Othello’. In 90’s McKellen started his filming career and in 20’s he’s already been in 2 big projects: as Magneto in ‘X-Men’ and Gandalf in ‘Lord of The Rings’. He later returned to 'LOTR' trilogy in ‘The Hobbit’ again as Gandalf.
Besides acting, sir Ian McKellen is also one of the most famous LGBT activists in the world!

5. Liv Tyler
Daughter of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and model Bebe Buell, Liv Tyler started her modeling career at the age of 14. Almost at the same age she started her acting career. Liv Tyler starred in Bernardo Bertolucci's ‘Stealing Beauty’ (1996), ‘Armageddon’ (1998) with co-stars Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck. In 2001 she was cast to play Arwen in ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. In 2008 Liv Tyler appeared in ‘The Incredible Hulk’ with co-star Edward Norton. At the moment Liv Tyler is starring in HBO’s drama ‘The Leftovers’.

6. Sean Astin
Besides playing everyone’s favorite character Samwise Gamgee in ‘Lord of The Rings’, you can also remember Sean Astin for his roles in films like ‘50 First Dates’ (2004) and ‘Click’ (2006). By the way, Sean Astin is also confirmed to appear in Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ season 2!

7. Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett is definitely not one of those actors, whom you remember only from ‘Lord of the Rings’. We will just count some of her most notable roles and if you haven’t seen those, then better go and watch them ASAP! She played in ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ (1999), ‘Coffee and Cigarettes’ (2003), ‘The Aviator’ (2004), ‘Elizabeth: The Golden Age’ (2007), ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ (2008), ‘The Monuments Men’ (2014). Cate Blanchett also returned to her role as Galadriel in ‘The Hobbit’ installment.
In 2004 Blanchett earned her first Academy Award as Best Actress in a Supporting Role for portraying Katharine Hepburn in ‘The Aviator’. In 2013 she received an Academy Award as Best Actress for her outstanding performance in Woody Allen’s ‘Blue Jasmine’.

8. Andy Serkis
Amazing Andy Serkis, the biggest CGI-actor alive, is known for an amount of outstandingly done movies, such as ‘The Lord of The Rings’ (of course!), ‘King Kong’ (2005), ‘Planet of the Apes’ reboot series (2011), ‘The adventures of Tintin (2011), ’‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ (2015). He became such a big professional in CGI, that he even opened his own studio, ‘Imaginarium’, in London. Andy Serkis’s upcoming roles include: ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ (2017), ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ (2017) and ‘Baloo in Jungle Book’ (2018). Serkis also returned to the role of Gollum in the latest ‘The Hobbit’ installment.

9. Billy Boyd
Billy Boyd aka Peregrin "Pippin" Took, is known not only for his acting career, but also for his theatre performances. Especially, Billy Boyd played Banquo in Shakespeare's ‘Macbeth’.
Boyd is a frontmen in his band ‘Beecake’. His song ‘The Last Goodbye’ was one of the original soundtracks for ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’.

10. Dominic Monaghan
Dominic Monaghan aka ‘Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck’, has also played in movies such as ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ (2009) and TV series ‘Lost’ (2004-2010). In 2010 he appeared in 2 episodes of Top Gear. Monaghan at the moment is hosting ‘Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan’ nature program by Channel 5 and BBC America.
